Now we may know why. IESB is reporting that The Weinstein Company has lost the rights to Sin City 2. They don't have any specifics, but they're saying that the sequel will now be financed by a private equity group and that Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios will still produce. As of last December, Frank Miller said that he had finished the script and was readying the movie. Most recently, Rosario Dawson confirmed that the script was done and that it might happen this year. This is easily some of the best news we've heard all week.
