News rumors and informations about Rosario Dawson

With a weekend of starry fetes second only to those of Oscar week in Los Angeles, the parties of the 64th Prime-Time Emmy Awards lost little ground this season against news of a still flagging U.S. economy.

For Luxist, ice began clinking in the cocktail glasses of Emmy-bound celebs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 27, at the Judith Leiber store on North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Maria Bello and Patricia Arquette were co-hosting a "Don't Forget Haiti" benefit. Yes, Hollywood has a heart. And scores of Emmy hopefuls zipped by on their way to full-fledged Emmy events .

Bello wore a top by Michael Kors and a Leiber "Don't Forget Haiti" pendant as she greeted guests at the door. How did Arquette and Bello team up for the Emmy weekend benefit? "I saw her a couple of weeks after the earthquake in Haiti," Bello told Luxist.

Arquette then mentioned that she is currently "working on a project to help refurbish shipping containers as homes in Haiti." She was wearing a vintage Chanel suit. "Anything past last year is vintage," she quipped. "So I'm vintage."

Guests included Rosario Dawson, Malin Akerman, Katharine McPhee, and Autumn Reeser, of "Entourage," who told Luxist that she would be hosting a baby shower during the Emmy Awards. "I didn't realize it was Emmy weekend," she admitted.

Reeser's "Entourage" co-star Emmanuelle Chriqui mentioned that, over the weekend, she would be supporting her real-life manager Emily Gerson Saines (also present), "nominated because she produced the HBO film 'Temple Grandin.'" Saines and her project would win big on Sunday.

Entertainment Weekly also hosted a pre-Emmy party for "Women in Film" on Friday at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood. The pool area of the hotel was converted into an impromptu red carpet. Fueled by mini burgers and new flavors of Vitaminwater, lemonade, and pomegranate, the party raged on in a trellised back courtyard of the restaurant until 1:00 a.m. Elisabeth Moss from "Mad Men," above, innocently butchered the name of the late French designer she was wearing, Herve Leger (pronounced Er-vay Lay-jay) as if he had been an all American: "Harvey Legger."

"This is my third Emmy Awards," admitted the young actress. "But it's always scary."

Oscar-winner Denzel Washington and 'Star Trek' captain Chris Pine team up for the runaway train thriller 'Unstoppable,' in theaters November 12, and we have the exciting preview trailer!

In the film, Denzel and Chris find their routine training ride on the tracks turning into a nightmare when they learn theiy're on a collision course with a runaway train loaded with toxic chemicals. Can they stop the massive, unmanned locomotive, nicknamed "The Beast," before there are devastating consequences? Rosario Dawson also stars.

Denzel reunites with director Tony Scott ('The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3,' 'Déjà Vu,' 'Man on Fire') for the action-packed thriller.

Our good friends at SlashFilm have uncovered the first trailer for Unstoppable, the upcoming Tony Scott runaway train action movie starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, a few others. Unfortunately this just looks so outrageously cheesy, we've heard every line in it before, and I couldn't find any part of that I was actually looking forward to seeing in its entirety on the big screen. It also just looks like the guy from Taking of Pelham 123 (meaning Denzel) going toe-to-toe with Captain Kirk when he was still on Earth driving trains. I get what they were going for, but I really don't think this looks good. Enjoy! Watch the first official trailer for Tony Scott's Unstoppable: A rail company frantically works with two of their conductors out on location to prevent an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying combustible liquids and deadly gas from wiping out an entire city. Unstoppable is directed ...

/Film reader Eddie R has sent us a link to the previously unreleased movie trailer for Tony Scott's upcoming action drama Unstoppable. I've been wondering with 20th Century Fox would start promoting this film as it is scheduled to hit theaters in just three months, and no publicity materials had yet been released (not a poster or even a photo). The trailer makes the film look pretty intense, although I've heard that it is more of a drama than a thriller. The film stars Chris Pine, Denzel Washington, and Rosario Dawson in a story scripted by Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Deception, Race to Witch Mountain) loosely inspired by true events. The film tells the story of  an experienced engineer (Washington) who finds himself teaming up with a young conductor (Pine) in a race against time, with a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. The duo chase ...

Vanessa Hudgens is going to tackle her biggest role so far this summer when she plays Mimi, the HIV-positive dancer in Rent. Despite Hudgens being best known for playing sugary sweet characters, Rosario Dawson- who brought Mimi to life in the 2005 film version of the musical- says the young actress is perfect for the provocative role.

What do Justin Bieber, New Moon, Lady Gaga, Gossip Girl, Iron Man and Glee have in common? They're all really popular ... and up for lots of Teen Choice Awards!

On August 9, the awards will be handed out on Fox, with Iron Man 2 and Gossip Girl leading with six nominations apiece and New Moon and Glee each securing five.

Other stars with multiple nods were Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Zoe Saldana, Kristen Bell, Steve Carell, Sam Worthington, Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams and many more.

Gossip Girl's Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick all got nods, as did Glee's Lea Michele, Jane Lynch and Cory Monteith.

VAMPIRES SUCK: Only literally, of course. They're popular in movies and TV.

True Blood's Anna Paquin and Ryan Kwanten repped vampires on the small screen, while Lost also nabbed final season honors for its actors and the show as a whole.

On the music side, Bieber, Miley, Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Adam Lambert, Eminem, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood and Ke$ha all dominated.

Sadly, Keeping Up With the Kardashians netted a nomination for Choice TV: Reality Show and the Kardashians are up for Choice TV: Female Reality/Variety Star.

There's so much more to go over. Voting opens today on teenchoiceawards.com. Follow the jump for the full list of nominees from movies, TV, sports and music:

Monday was most definitely an uptown evening: Every boldfaced female in New York City slipped into her fanciest dress and swanned about the Met Ball. But as the old adage goes, what goes uptown must come downtown, and not long after midnight, the crowd on the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel lit up faster than Katy Perry's glow-stick disco dress.

Some girls, like Lily Donaldson and Sienna Miller, had changed into clothes more appropriate for the Meatpacking District (think: leather pants and baggy T-shirts), while others, such as Rosario Dawson and Dr. Lisa Airan, remained in their elaborate gowns. "This isn't easy," Airan said of the J. Mendel confection that prevented her from wading too deep into the crowd. Then there were the gals, Bar Refaeli and Paula Patton included, who decided to go barefoot. "They should've invested in a pair of shoes like mine," said Fabiola Beracasa, who explained she was wearing $70 platforms she bought at a West Village store that caters to drag queens.

As for the fellows, Prabal Gurung engaged in a dance-off with Hamish Bowles, and Joseph Altuzarra and Alexander Wang hopped on a table in the back of the club, only to be joined by a tangoing Chloë Sevigny and Leigh Lezark. The rest of the action took place in the booths: Jude Law swapping stories with Marion Cotillard, Rachel Zoe adjusting Marc Jacobs' baseball cap, and Allison Sarofim explaining to Anh Duong why her strapless Vera Wang number was much more important than a wedding dress: "I'll always look back on this night and be happy," she smiled. "You can't always say the same thing about a wedding night."

The stars were all over town last night taking in all the Oscars mania, especially at the Weinstein Company's huge parties! The new SoHo House in West Hollywood and the Chateau Marmont were both brimming with celebrities for the Weinstens' charity events for UNICEF. Nicole Richie looked fantastic in blue out with Joel, who is the official DJ of tonight's show. Carey Mulligan says she's savoring these final days of award season but is also ready for it to be over. Kate Bosworth and Diane Kruger stuck with short, sweet, and colorful despite the dreary weather, and we're especially excited to see what the sexy Inglourious Basterds star wears for the Academy Awards red carpet.

Diane and Joshua Jackson also stopped by the Chanel and Charles Finch dinner, giving us high hopes that he'll be with her this afternoon. First-time nominees Gabourey Sidibe and Christoph Waltz laughed together after seeing each other at tons of events over the past few months. Alexander Skarsgard signed autographs while Gwen Stefani posed with Nicole and Joel. Even The Bachelor's Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka got in on the fun! There are only a few hours left before the red carpet starts, and we're gearing with tons of looks back at iconic Oscar moments and will be covering the main event live all night long!

If there's one thing I hate above all else, it's wasted potential. Unfortunately, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is just that: wasted potential. The film has a stunning cast, home to the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Uma Thurman, Catherine Keener, Kevin McKidd, Joe Pantoliano, Rosario Dawson, and Steve Coogan. Of course, the actors above are but the trimmings on a film starring Alexandra Daddario (as Annabeth), Brandon T. Jackson (as Grover), and, as the titular character, Logan Lerman. It's these three we are meant to follow and grow with. Unfortunately, though, these three are the film's least interesting components. Them and the script, that is. My heart aches for Chris Columbus. Between his writing and directing credits, he informed my childhood with films such as Home Alone, The Goonies, Gremlins, Mrs. Doubtfire, and, later, the first two Harry Potter films. Unfortunately, Columbus ultimately fails with his ...

Las Vegas' big gamble, the massive CityCenter is finally starting to be open to the public. The Vdara Hotel and Spa is partnering with Vanity Fair to co-host a grand opening gala hosted by Sebastian Copeland with Orlando Bloom and Rosario Dawson on Tuesday in support of the Sebastian Copeland Foundation, a new foundation to explore climate change. Entertainment will be provided by DJs Donovan Leitch and Mathieu Schreyer and guests will dine on food from Martin Heierling, executive chef of Vdara and the hotel's contemporary Mediterranean restaurant, Silk Road.

Vdara is a non-gaming, smoke-free environment which is physically connected to Bellagio and adjacent to the ARIA resort. The LEED Gold certified project includes the 18,000-square-foot, two-level wellness spa, Vdara Health and Beauty. The hotel features a variety of stay options the most lavish of which are the two-bedroom penthouse suites which each have a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, flatscreen televisions and a bathroom with a soaking tub.

The 4,004-room Aria Resort & Casino will open on December 16. Many are concerned about how eager people will be to check out the new hotel considering that room prices are lower across the Strip and tourism is still down. The AP reports that including condominiums, CityCenter will have nearly 6,800 units open early next year. Rates at Vdara start at $129, $149 at anchor resort Aria and $345 at the Mandarin Oriental.
