In observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, survivors Melissa Etheridge, Olivia Newton-John, and more will share their stories of bravery. Their tales of triumph will be told during '1 A Minute LIVE Supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.' In homage to the alarming statistic that one woman falls victim to breast cancer every 69 seconds, the title '1 a Minute' was conceived. The live event will incorporate a panel discussion with cancer survivors and celebrities touched by the devastating disease. William Baldwin and Daniel Baldwin, whose mom battled the illness, and "Charlie's Angel"'s Jaclyn Smith, a survivor, also contributed their stories to the docu-drama. The film follows one woman's journey through the stages of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, all while intertwining anecdotes from celebrities who have been affected.

Starring in a 3D concert movie isn't cutting it for Justin Bieber. The teen dream wants to remake the much-loved musical Grease, with none other than Miley Cyrus as his leading lady. "It's been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny," Biebs told Britain's The Sun. With Biebs in the John Travolta role of tough guy/closet romantic Danny Zuko, he's gunning for Miley as the object of his affection, Sandy Dumbrowski, (played in the film version by Olivia Newton-John.) "I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation," he said. "She can sing, dance and act." While...

Two months out from kicking off, the Toronto International Film Festival announced earlier today the opening film of the 35th edition of the popular fall festival. The film that will headline the fest is a - get this - hockey musical (the first of its kind?) called Score: A Hockey Musical featuring Olivia Newton-John and Nelly Furtado. The coming-of-age movie portrays a sheltered 17-year-old, played by newcomer Noah Reid, going "from zero to hero" on the ice in a matter of weeks. THR describes it as "Glee with sticks and skates as hockey players croon while slapping a puck round an ice rink." Um I personally think that sounds incredible.
The Toronto Film Fest kicks off on September 9th and last for 11 days. I'll be up heading up there again, as TIFF is one of my favorite fall fests, and I've got a feeling the rest of their selection will ...

The opening-night selection of the Toronto Film Festival doesn't always match the quality of the rest of the festival slate, but for pure style points, you have to give the fest credit for this year's choice. Toronto has chosen "Score: A Hockey Musical" as its opening-night movie. Little was previously known about the indie picture, but the title tells you everything you need to know about the movie's creative possibilities (maybe "And I'm telling you I'm not going" before a trip to the penalty box?), with Olivia Newton-John and Nellie Furtado two of the film's more well-known actors. The choice...

With Glee ’s season finale airing this week, fans (or Gleeks) of the Fox hit are dying to know: How will it all end? Executive producer and writer Ryan Murphy is already looking forward to next fall. “Quinn gives birth in the finale, so that’s a big thing. But the question is, what happens to the baby? That’s one of the cliff-hangers,” Murphy told In Touch at the 9th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Brentwood, Calif., on June 5. The cheerleader was planning to give her daughter (with fellow glee-club member Puck) up for adoption — but perhaps she has a change of heart? Fans won’t find out until after the summer, when they can also expect serious fireworks. Murphy calls the first four episodes “as big as the Madonna episode! Big, big, big! We plan to be coming out of the gate really big!” One hint? Jennifer Lopez will join the list of prestigious guest stars like Neil Patrick Harris , Olivia Newton-John and Josh Groban . “J. Lo will be on the show!” Murphy announced. The Glee mastermind also added that he “loves the idea” of doing a tribute episode to Britney Spears , in spite of co-star Matthew Morrison’s comments about hoping the show “doesn’t go along that route” (Matthew later denied having made the comment).

Glee
villainess Sue Sylvester has finally met her mean match — and it’s...Olivia Newton-John
? The 61-year-old Australian singer will appear as herself and re-create the sweaty video to her 1981 hit “Physical” with Jane Lynch’s cheerleading coach character on the Fox hit’s May 4 episode. If that’s not enough, she’ll also have an epic showdown with Sue on the June 8 season, where she’ll be a guest celebrity judge at regionals, along with Josh Groban. However, Glee
’s version of Olivia isn’t exactly the sweet singer we all know and love. “She’s the dark side!” Olivia tells In Touch
. “She’s quite bitchy to Jane. In the last episode, I kind of give it to her after she’s a bit mean to me.” Olivia says she gets to be even fiercer than bad-girl Sandy was in Grease
. “With Grease
, that was just the way I dressed — on Glee
, it’s the way I speak, too!” she says of the finale. “It was a challenge to do it — but I found I actually liked it. I had a lot of fun!” Another bonus for Olivia fans? The Glee
finale may feature a character covering her hit song “Magic.” “I’m not sure if it will actually be on-air, but we do talk about it in the storyline, although I wasn’t there when they did it,” she reveals. “I’d be happy if they took any of my songs on, really!”
