The red carpet at the Emmys overflowed with gorgeous ladies last night, and the men didn't look too bad either. Kyra Sedgwick and Keri Russell went with bold colors, and January Jones followed suit in bright blue Versace. Amy Poehler showed off her post-baby body in Max Azria just weeks after giving birth to her second child. Emily Blunt walked the red carpet wearing a lavender Christian Dior gown with her husband John Krasinski, while Jane Lynch chose a dramatic purple one-shouldered Ali Rahimi.

The Vampire Diaries's Nina Dobrev had sexy, smoky eyes to complement her neutral number, and Claire Danes went with a similar shade in a strapless Armani Privé. Dianna Agron picked a lacy Carolina Herrera, while Kim Kardashian wowed in bright white Marchesa. Sofia Vergara stunned in a subtle yellow gown - check out PopSugar's Retail Therapy for Emmy-inspired dresses like Sofia's.

Tine Fey put her own spin on basic black lace, and Heidi Klum rocked a Marchesa mini. Anna Paquin's embellished Alexander McQueen took the simple shade to the next level and landed her on FabSugar's best-dressed list. Glee's Lea Michele had feminine ruffle accents on her navy Oscar de la Renta and Modern Family's Julie Bowen had similar detail on her J. Mendel. Let us know what you think of the women's choices, and make sure to vote on all of Fab and Bella's love it or hate it polls - check out all of our amazing Emmys coverage!

True fashion is timeless. When you find a piece that is a classic, the momentary trends take a back seat. You imagine yourself wearing this garment for years to come because you feel exceptional in it as it works with your body perfectly. We all have that one piece, and for the lucky ones a few pieces, which make you feel as though you have truly gotten your money's worth and then some. Take for example, Diane von Furstenberg's iconic wrap dress that was originally released in the 1970's and has maintained its appeal and wearability nearly 40 years later. Amazing!

Another dress to add to that list is the Dior Couture Ivory Dress ($2,976). It's exquisite! The Dior Dress could easily being seen on a celebrity walking the red carpet or for us non-celebrities attending a formal event. Michele Meunier and Olivier Chatnenet are the designers behind the Parisian label, E2, who have reworked this vintage Dior Dress making it wearable for today. The contrast between black and ivory make for a striking presentation. Overall, the dress exudes a delicate and ultra feminine feel with an empire waist, black lace along the neckline, and silk flowers along the sides and at the waist with numerous eyelets accentuating the panel belt all topped off with a black silk ribbon at the rear. Although this dress is a hefty investment, it's one that will last through generations.

If you're interested in other dresses where the Parisian Fashion label E2 have been able to rework and restore, view the gallery below for one of kind garments.

Ah yes, just what the world needed more of - patent leather. Ahem, no. I mean patent calfskin leather. The softest leather, for the softest vinyl-like finish. Patent leather is funny because it looks cool on shoes for graduating marines, and hot chicks in questionably themed night clubs. It just has that many purposes... that many personalities.

Dior watches will not be using patent calfskin leather in their new Christal watch collection that hearkens back to a Kennedy era age. JFK, Kennedy that is. Jackie O would have more than likely swooned over this piece with its fascinating asymmetrical design that looks chic, and is actually loosely based on a diver's watch. The markers on the bezel get further apart proportionally, akin the unfolding of a natural spiral. The rest of the watch is pretty much at home in the Christal family. With plenty of diamond decoration, and the usual afterglow of Dior pretentiousness. Nevertheless, nice watches, and that is all we know until Dior graces us with more details.

ARTINFO - Steven Meisel, one of the premier fashion photographers working today, has teamed up with fashion house Balenciaga (the founder of which, Cristóbal Balenciaga, was once dubbed "the master of us all" by Christian Dior, no sartorial slouch himself) to present the label’s Fall/Winter 2010/11 campaign. Featuring some of the top models of the moment (such as Stella Tennant), Meisel’s series of images is composed of close-up portraits of the models alongside wider shots of the women standing in small groups. Natalie Portman locked lips with a handsome young man on the set of a Christian Dior ad shoot in Paris earlier this week. She was announced as the new face of the brand's perfume line in June, following past spokesmodels like Charlize Theron. Natalie's a pro with oncamera PDA, including a recent make-out session with Ashton Kutcher for their untitled comedy. Now that filming on that project has wrapped, she'll be moving on to all the other roles she has lined up, like playing a pot-smoking bride-to-be in Best Buds. She'll also be in California later this week when she and her costars start promoting their highly anticipated movie, Thor.

When did she look most glam?

Marion Cotillard is such a unique beauty in my book, which is why when she stepped out in the first frock she debuted for the Inception premiere in London I was let down. Luckily the star turned her style streak around! Although she looked more casual and less carpet-ready in Thakoon, she pulled out my fave look in Paris where she showed up looking like a true star in a strapless Christian Dior — yes, she does wear Dior a lot, but considering how good she looked, I didn’t mind one bit! Right now, in the Paris hotel rooms of many fashion editors there are bunches of flowers, plastic-wrapped and raffia-tied. When they returned to their rooms after the Dior couture show today, did the attendees make the connection between what they'd just seen on the catwalk and what was sitting in a vase in front of them? Stephen Jones created headgear that looked like a florist's plastic wrap. Someone else contributed the raffia belts. And nature did the rest. "It's the most inspiring teacher," said John Galliano, after a show that was a hymn to all things floral.

Part of his research involved studying real flowers, spending an hour watching the light change on a parrot tulip, for instance. That partly explained the collection's wonderful colors, especially the vibrancy of the dégradé effects. You could attribute the rest to Galliano's contemplation of images by the two great flower photographers de nos jours , Irving Penn and Nick Knight. Dior himself obliged with the silhouette, a tulip shape that Galliano seemed to feel Mr. Christian had never really made the most of. He certainly sorted that out.

Perhaps it was the precision of the inspiration that accounted for the show's clarity, not only in the palette but in the delicate techniques. The fronding, the feathering, the ruching, the ruffling—all duplicated the extraordinary intricacies of flowers. Delicate they may be in nature, but his objects of study gave Galliano free rein to be bold with a coat like a huge inverted daffodil and a dress in black taffeta that was hand-painted with pansies. It's unlikely that when he compared himself to a jardinière tending his blooms, the designer had attendees like Blake Lively, Jessica Alba, and Lou Doillon in mind, but you could imagine them being seduced by his hybrids; the jacket-and-skirt combinations like the white felt over lilac organza, or the jade mohair with a swoop of portrait neckline over a petaled bubble of black organza.

In an Edenic fashion world, this would be the daywear that would fully complement evening dresses of an extraordinary dimension—gigantic domes of tulle overlaid with gloriously colored swags of organza. On the opening day of the Paris couture, the casual insolence of the draped one-shoulder outfit that closed the show was a provocation. "Beat this ," it declared.

The Côte d'Azur has been getting a lot of love this season, but for Hanii Y, the quintessential French resort destination is Granville—birthplace of Christian Dior—on the northwest coast. The Normandy seaside town inspired the palette of rich azures and cornflower blues, which were contrasted with sun-bleached neutrals. A great eyelet anorak was derived from photos of embroidered lace drapes, and the ropelike cording on dresses and jackets was a nod to the region's seafaring lifestyle.

Hanii Y has been off the New York fashion week schedule for several seasons while the brand's efforts were refocused. If Resort is any indication, the label is back on the right track.
