Anchor Bay Film has partnered with Andy Garcia’s CineSon productions for the upcoming romantic comedy “Admissions.”

Clueless Blu-ray — In this subversive 1995 satire of teen solipsism, based on The Taming of the Shrew, Alicia Silverstone plays a popular high school girl who befriends an outcast (Brittany Murphy) in hopes of lifting her to popularity. The entire cast follows along on the obliviously self-obsessed note that Silverstone establishes. The movie elevated her into icon status, but unfortunately turned out to be her high point. The Blu-ray adds trivia to the stable of featurettes on the DVD releases.

Elijah Wood has opened up about his heartbreak at making a Happy Feet sequel after his co-star Brittany Murphy's death in 2009.

Saturday Night Live co-star Abby Elliott is heading to primetime. I’ve learned that Elliott is poised to play the lead in Dana Fox’s Fox pilot Ben Fox Is My Manny. (That’s a lot o f Fox-es in one sentence. ) The single-camera comedy centers on an uptight single mother (Elliott) whose aimless brother moves in to help raise her daughter (Maggie Jones). The new gig won’t interfere with Elliott’s duties on SNL this season — I hear that she will film the pilot during the late-night show’s spring hiatus. If Ben Fox goes to series, Elliott will stay with it, leaving SNL . If not, she is expected to continue on the NBC late-night sketch comedy series, which she joined in 2008 as a featured player. This marks Elliott’s first major TV gig outside of SNL, where she is probably best known for her memorable impersonations including Angelina Jolie, Anna Faris, Rachel Maddow, Khloe Kardashian, Zooey Deschanel and Brittany Murphy. Elliott is the latest SNL star to migrate to primetime. She follows in the footsteps of her father, Chris Elliott, who parlayed a stint on SNL into a solid primetime sitcom career. (Abby’s grandfather, comedian Bob Elliott, also hosted SNL back in the day.) On the big screen, CAA-repped Elliott was recently seen in No Strings Attached.

Looks like the Weekend at Bernie’s criminals didn’t get their Hollywood ending!

The two Colorado men, Robert Young and Mark Rubinson, who were accused of dragging a dead friend out for a night on the town and using his credit card to pay their bar tabs, pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse on Thursday – and RadarOnline.com has the details.

In a crime that closely resembled the 1999 Hollywood blockbuster film in which two friends spend a weekend with their dead boss, Young, 43, claimed he found his pal Jeffrey Jarrett, a 43-year-old realtor, unresponsive in his Denver home on August 27. He claims that he did not know that he was deceased, so he placed him in an SUV and went to go pick up Rubinson, 25, and the duo hit the town with their friend in the car and used his credit card at multiple bars and restaurants.

After their wild night out, they claimed that they finally realized that their friend was dead, so they dropped him off at home and left his body in the bedroom.

But the party didn’t stop then! They continued to charge up Jarrett’s credit card, with Young claiming that Jarrett owed him money.

Both men pleaded guilty to the abuse of a corpse and Young also pleaded guilty to identity theft. Their pleas allowed each of them to have the more serious felony charges against them dropped.

Jarrett’s death was ruled accidental, with the cause of death a result of mixed drug intoxication. He had alcohol, cocaine, alprazolam and buprenorphine in his system.

The duo will be back in court on March 8 for sentencing.

Freestyle skiing champion Sarah Burke died on Thursday after having been in a medically-induced coma for a week because of an accident at practice that left her with a brain injury.

The 29-year-old Olympic hopeful ruptured a vertebral artery after a nasty fall on January 10 in Park City, Utah, that led to severe bleeding, at which time she stopped breathing and paramedics could find no pulse.

Sarah passed away at 9:22 a.m. surrounded by her family at the University of Utah hospital and in a released statement they said her organs will be donated "to save the lives of others."

Just last week, Sarah's husband, Rory Bushfield, said in a statement, "Sarah is a very strong young woman, and she will most certainly fight to recover."

In 2006 Sarah was named to FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest Women list, won the first ever world championship half-pipe event and was notably a four-time X-Games gold medalist.

Brittany Murphy's dad, is suing the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office over access to his late daughter's hair samples so he can conduct his own testing because he disagrees with the official cause of her death, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Angelo Bertolotti states in the court docs: "Plaintiff discussed the findings in the Autopsy Report which attributed his daughter's death to Community-Acquired Pneumonia and Iron Deficiency Anemia. Plaintiff repeatedly voiced his concerns about these findings as being incorrect, since the testing/toxicology was incomplete and the death of Brittany Anne Murphy Monjak was never fully investigated."

Murphy died on December 19, 2009, after her husband Simon Monjack, found her unconscious.
